Hey guys! Have any of you used Docker? It's really cool, (well in theory it is), the idea is to package applications into containers, so that they can run anywhere. "Build, Ship, Run" is their phrase.
I'm on windows, and am using Boot2Docker, and I want to dockerize my simple node application. I have built a dockerfile, which builds on a Ubuntu image, and adds the source code of the application.
I run the image in boot2docker using "docker run -p 32768:80880 -d grabhr/node-testing-v4 "
.and using "docker ps" I can see that there is a running container based on this image.
Here is where I run into the problem. When I call the app using "$ curl $(boot2docker ip):32768" I get this error, "curl: (7) Failed to connect to 192.168.59.103 port 32768: Connection refused
It doesn't matter what port number I use I always get this error.
Has anyone else come across this with windows ? I could be missing a very obvious point but am unable to wrap my head around it. Any pointers or observations would be greatly appreciated
