haha...this is great.
While my boxer-lab swings by my chair every 30-45 mins and encourages me to take a 2-3 minute break, she has no interest in my studies and practice whatsoever.
Perhaps, I'll go shopping for an action figure or two this weekend
Inspired and agree. Now I just need to narrow it down from:
Or maybe I'll just print out - http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130407020854/tardis/images/9/92/Something_awesome.jpg I'm sure she'd be a great rubber ducky, because she's just overflowing with creative insight!
Edit: Wait! I just used a discourse forum to rubber ducky which rubber ducky I should get for future rubber ducking. How meta---awesome!
Not sure what you meant by "print out", but during my commute, I was thinking how appropriate it would be to have a 3D print of my rubber ducky [whom has yet to be determined]!
If you can't find your old octopus, try Tenta.co (not only because my friend makes the plushy) it's cute.
Oh my, I can just picture myself at work doing this. Now to find an interesting 'rubber duck' stand in.
I took a break from coding to solidify my "plan B".Now that's done and the WebDev love has returned, I really need to acquire my ducky.Hitting up The Google machine right now for ideas...
Usually, I'll have an ongoing dialogue in the form of comments in my code. Sometimes I'll write comments as a dialogue between myself and the computer I'm working on at the time. So does anyone think that the action figures that some developers have on their desk is the direct result of rubber duck debugging? Just curious.
